The Red Ochre Barrel and Grill shares Adelaide’s most superb city restaurant location with its sibling restaurant the River Cafè. A two-level floating pavilion sitting on the water, the restaurant has spectacular city night-time views. Private dining is also available in our Park View Room. The Red Ochre Barrel and Grill was the first Australian restaurant to explore indigenous Australian ingredients. We showcase the exotic and intriguing produce unique to Australia. Kangaroo, emu and crocodile and the best of South Australian seafood cooked with indigenous Australian edible plants and spices. The Red Ochre Barrel and Grill has undergone extensive refurbishment and showcases stunning original artworks by David Bromley, that celebrate Australian bush life. The wine list at the Red Ochre Barrel and Grill has a strong focus on the very best of South Australian and Australian wines and our cocktail list explores twists using Australian native botanicals. Just a 10-minute taxi ride from major city hotels you can be dropped at the front door of the restaurant. There is also ample free parking.
