Mary MacKillop Precinct is located at Kensington, on the historical site established by Mary MacKillop in 1872. Here she lived, prayed and worked until 1883. Her legacy lives on here! MacKillop Precinct is a welcoming place for all people of all backgrounds. It comprises: St Joseph’s Chapel - where Mary prayed so often available to book for weddings, Mary MacKillop Museum – offering an interactive, ‘hands-on’ experience, and the Bethany Centre – hosting a range of spirituality and personal development programmes which is also available for hire. Listening to the Heartbeat of the World! Mary MacKillop Precinct is a place of pilgrimage, hospitality, spirituality and education, creating a legacy for all who will come after us.
