What is the Clare Valley Wine & Wilderness Trail?
When completed, the trail will be a 100km walking/cycling trail around the Clare Valley. It will begin and end at the Clare Valley Wine, Food & Tourism Centre, travelling on a network of backroads, road reserves & private property. There will be 5 stages, each approx 20km in length.
The trail will showcase the region’s natural beauty & premium food and wine products, passing 24 cellar doors and numerous restaurants and cafes once complete.
The trail will be a public trail available to locals and visitors, users of the trail will be free to complete the entire route or smaller sections. It is estimated that walkers would take 5 days to complete the entire route and cyclists between 2 & 5 days.
Stage 1 will be completed on the 24th of April 2021, with the target completion date for stages 2 – 5 in Easter 2022.
