One of the most popular beaches in Shellharbour City is Shellharbour North Beach. This clean sandy beach is patrolled during the summer months on the northern and southern ends. Facilities include showers, public amenities, barbecue, beach wheelchair and parking.
Shellharbour North Beach is an east facing one kilometre long beach, lying between Barrack Point and the rocks at the base of the ridge on which is known as Shellharbour Village.
The Shellharbour Surf Club is located on the southern end of the beach and offers surf club facilities.
Car parking is available off Junction Road, Shellharbour.
Enhanced beach accessibility for people with disabilities, elderly visitors and parents with strollers. Accessible Facilities Include: A Beach Wheelchair is provided at Shellharbour North beach including a ramp down to the sand with sand mat down to waters edge.
The beach wheelchair is available when lifeguards are on patrol. When the chair is not in use it is secured adjacent to the main car park.
Bookings are not required, however, a combination code is needed for access. To obtain the access code please see one of our on-duty lifeguards or contact customer service.
