The whole family will love cheering and waving from the steam train as it travels past the station and navigates its way through the quiet bushland setting in Albion Park. The museum also has tram and miniature train rides that let the children experience a piece of history that was enjoyed at fairgrounds by their parents and grandparents alike.
The Museum Society is volunteer operated and was first founded in 1972 and has some local historical railway buildings including the 1915 signal box from Otford (north of Wollongong).
The grounds of the museum are a great place to escape, the kids can play in the playground while the adults relax in the barbecue area.
Steaming days when the Museum is in full operation including demonstrations, working engines and rides are held on the second Sunday and the fourth Saturday of each month.
Opened on Tuesdays and Thursdays throughout school holidays.
Due to COVID operating times may change. Check their website or Facebook page for operating days.
