Due to the need to contain the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19), visitors to the Australian War Memorial need to book free, timed tickets to view our galleries and special exhibitions, and to attend the daily Last Post Ceremony. We encourage you to register a ticket in advance. Tickets may be made available at the Memorial entry, subject to capacity. The Australian War Memorial is pleased to be Trip Advisor’s number one attraction in Canberra. Bringing together a world-class museum, shrine and research centre, it tells the stories of men and women who have served, and continue to serve our nation in conflict, peacekeeping and humanitarian operations. Through exhibitions, artworks, large technology objects and personal records, we share personal experiences of military service. As the Memorial embarks on the expansion and modernisation of our galleries, we will be telling the continuing story of Australia’s contribution to a better world. In doing so, we will connect the spirit of our past, present and future for generations to come. Free entry.
