Back in 1886 my ancestors first started cultivating the land at Red Hill; now, 134 years later the land has evolved into lush fields of peonies. The peonies at Red Hill Peony Estate have been growing for five seasons, come and see these magnificent blooms as you walk through the fields and the lush Spring gardens of the Estate.

Farm-Gate Days are free and give you access to the new Barn-Shop; (note that there is no access to the peony paddock or other garden rooms).
Peak-Bloom farm-gate days require a pre-booked ticket and include access to the Barn-Shop and all Estate gardens and 'Produce' tasting plates
Accessible on either Farm-Gate Days or Peak-Bloom Farm-Gate Days include:
Coral peonies, whites, light pinks, deep pinks and red herbaceous peonies as they bloom from late October through to late November.
Potted Peonies: Herbaceous, Tree peonies and the rare Itohs.
Peony “Produce” grown from the Estate gardens.
Original peony artwork by artist Jillian Holmes-Smith.
Ticket sales for Peak-Bloom Days will open in middle October
(Dates vary each year as the peonies’ growth depends on the Spring temperatures.)
