A picturesque location, Koonjeree picnic area is the ideal spot for enjoying the beautiful bushland of Lane Cove National Park, near Killara. With easy wheelchair access to picnic tables, it’s a great place for informal family gatherings and large groups.
In the eastern most region of the park, this tranquil spot, situated on the banks of the meandering Lane Cove River, offers a large flat grassy area where the kids can run around, or ride bikes, while you unpack the picnic hamper.
The lush riverside setting is a haven for birds, so you can enjoy a spot of birdwatching as you keep an eye out for herons, egrets and a range of migratory waterbirds. After a relaxing lunch, enjoy a stroll along the river banks, or if you’re keen for a challenge, try Riverside walking track.
