A must do on any visit to Perth. Located in the Swan Valley, Western Australia's oldest wine producing region. Nestled amongst the vineyards and lots of other attractions, Maalinup is just 35 minutes from the Perth Central Business District. Maalinup has been a gem in the Swan Valley since 1999. An Aboriginal family owned and operated enterprise offering an art gallery and gift shop, and indigenous cultural activities. Entrance to the gallery and gift shop is free but activities attract charges and must be booked in advance. You can view their range of activities on our website. Maalinup offers original framed and unframed works by predominantly local Aboriginal artists. The gift shop offers a stunning range of handpainted glassware, ceramics and wood ware by local Aboriginal artists. Bush tucker specialists, Maalinup stocks an extensive range of Australian native herbs, spices and peppers; and sauces, chutneys and jams made with Australian native foods. Free tastings are always available. Enjoy exploring the bush tucker garden and feed the emus. Check out the bushtucker talk and tastings on their website.
