New design is now being tailored to physical and expressive individual needs. Many of the designs profiled in Agency by Design allow the wearer to project a powerful image of how they want to be seen, whether that be glamorous, elegant, strong or simply just wanting to reveal their own life passions. Other designs enhance socialisation or provide individualised assisted technology solutions.
The exhibition includes jewellery, apparel, ocular prosthetics, furniture and technology and includes the work of designers Leah Heiss and Carol Taylor, and organizations Bravery Co, Technology for Aging and Disability Queensland and Artificial Eyes Australia.
Lunchtime talks enable visitors to meet exhibiting designers and delve into their practice. See the artisan website for details.
